A judo player specializing in ground fighting, he is considered one of the best and most respected Brazilian athletes, in addition to being a creator, with the help of friends, of Instituto Reação, an NGO that works in low-income communities in Rio de Janeiro. Through judo and complementary activities, the NGO’s objective is to promote human development and social inclusion.
